“Are recordings kept and viewable/downloadable and if so, for how long? is a subscription required? I am monitoring a house I do not live at so need phone notifications and the ability to review and save after the fact if there is an issue.”

I have the sub $5 for all 10 cameras. Can download any clip to phone. Can do from anywhere in the world with internet connection. Phone can get notifications instantly. Images are stored in cloud 30 days I believe

There's not storage on the cameras so if you go with their free plan, you'd have to have the camera's up in your app constantly and you can only view 1 at a time and even then you'd have to power them for constant live view. I'd look at Blink or other systems that allow you to view recordings either through the Cloud or through local storage in the cameras themselves.
