You do need to have Monitoring Service active in order for the system to communicate outside of the home - including for Smart Alerts. But to be clear, we do not have contracts. So you are able to subscribe and cancel service at any time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You would have to enroll in one of the PLANS to get notification. A PLAN brings the SimpliSafe response center into the loop. Without any PLAN, you are simply using the system SIREN(s) to scare off the intruder.
