You can use an indoor camera outdoors if you purchase the waterproof container for it. I'm returning my system for other reasons I'm not happy about so I dont wanna help simplisafe sell their junk equipment and answer everyone's questions will great detail. If you're happy with the system then great but the waterproof containers are all that you can do until they actually make outdoor cams.
