- Answer There’s a little pin tool that you poke into the the bottom of the keypad. The lock side, you slide the bit above the knob up.

- Answer Yes. You can install and uninstall as you want. The only thing is the fact you need the deadbolt already installed in the door to use it. Just keep the one you had before and then install back when removing the SimpliSafe lock.

- Answer You can change delete add unlimited time. There is a master code and use codes. Both codes can be changed as many times as needed

QuestionCan the deadbolt faceplate be removed for circular drive-in applications? For reference attaching an image here, which shows the deadbolt without the faceplate. Is it possible to remove the faceplate and use the deadbolt without it?

- Answer Deadbolt lock's inside face needs to be replaced with this black face and can use this lever as same as door lock lever. From the outside door key works with key and keypad ir phone app.

QuestionWe have a detached building we’d like to add a smart lock to, but the base station and system keypads are all in the main house. Would the lock on the outbuilding still work if it’s not near the base station and/or main system keypads?

- Answer The Smart Lock installs over your existing single-cylinder deadbolt, replacing the inside piece where the thumbturn is located. It's not intended at all for external use.

QuestionAfter moving in, I had ADT for a trial period before having it uninstalled. Some SimpliSafe accessories are still installed from the prior owners (no base station). When removing the batteries from this lock, ADT was alerted. How did this happen?

QuestionI have a guest house and a separate garage. I was surprised when I was told that the tenants in the guest house will have access to my main house even if I give them a different code. Their code will open the Main house too! Same with my garage???!!!

QuestionCan I use this on an interior entrance (from garage to house) door and specify whether or not it triggers the alarm in Home mode? Or would unlocking the door disarm the whole system? Hope this makes sense.

- Answer The Smart Lock installs over your existing deadbolt, replacing the inside piece where the thumbturn is. So it would still be the same lock, with the same key, but motorized and connected to your security system. if you already have a standard single-cylinder deadbolt on that door, then you'll have no trouble! Yes, unlocking the Smart Lock through the PIN Pad also disarms the system.

QuestionI just bought one and the door I have has the locks on the left when inside and facing the door. So “locking “ is unlocking and visa versus. This is a big problem unless there is a way to reverse whether it goes counter clockwise or clockwise.

- Answer Yep, during setup, the app will ask you to set the correct locked and unlocked positions. So it can work with deadbolts that go either direction.

- Answer Don’t buy it. The system is useless. There is no way to customize notifications even after 3 years. You can either disable All Notifications incl locks and general ones or NONE. Such a useless team.

- Answer The answer is no it doesn't work with 1st generation. When I spoke with customer service they informed me it didn't work and the system would have to be updated.
