• Yes, there is a backup battery in the unit in case of a power outage or the power being cut during a robbery or a break in. I had mine unhooked for at least 30 mins and it was still power and was qqable to record video.

• This unit has a small rechargeable battery inside the unit. Its used as a battery back up in case you lose power. However, I have not tested how long the battery will run once the power is out.

• This doorbell requires an existing wired doorbell setup. There is mention in the instructions to a “backup battery” (not sure full details on that) but you still need to have it connected to a wired line with a transformer.

• No. The doorbell requires 8-24v AC power to operate. There is a micro USB connector, but it is not for power.
