The SimpliSafe video doorbell uses the same wiring as a standard door bell for power. So you will need to have some wiring done to get power to the SimpliSafe Video Doorbell Pro. I had to have re-wiring done because I disconnected my old wiring when I installed a new front door.. I hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. BUT you would need to install a micro USB cable from a phone charger to the back of the simplisafe doorbell. I did this on my back door since I had a light switch to get power from next to where I wanted the door bell. I am an electrician so it wasn't a big deal for me.
