Does it work at all? If not, you might need a larger transformer. Transformers are rated by volt-amps or "VA" I do not know what the VA requirement is for the SimpliSafe door bell. Transformers are cheap and you should be able to get one at Home Depot, Menards, Ace or even Best Buy. It is ok to use a higher rated transformer but not a lower rated one. Make sure the transformer match the existing which is most likely 110 volts "primary" and 16 volts "secondary". Typically they have several wires for the secondary voltages - 12, 16, 24. When you install it don't just match the colors of the wires.
