We apologize for our delay in responding to your question and sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. With the built-in monitor enjoy the lyrics scrolling across the screen. To see the words/lyrics scroll across the built-in monitor you will need to download music in the format of MP4 onto the included complimentary USB Flash Dive (aka Mic Guy). You may also download music onto your personal USB Flash Drive (we recommend memory between 8GB - 32GB). You also can see the lyrics on your TV monitor by connecting your karaoke machine to your TV monitor using an HDMI cable. We hope this information is helpful to you.
