The Singing Machine would like to Thank you for taking the time to submit your question about the SDL-366 Vibe HD Digital Karaoke System. We apolgize for our delay in responding to your question. This model is a great choice for the tech savvy individuals as blue-tooth is the way to go. You do not need any wires as blue-tooth is a wireless connection. You will first want to make sure your karoake machine is ON. Then use the navigation keys to select blue-tooth mode and then press the enter button. The Function Indicator Light will light yellow. Turn your iPad on and make sure the blue-tooth features is also activated on your iPad. You will scan until you see "Singing Machine" The blue-tooth indicator light will show solid blue. You will hear a confirmation tone and machine monitor will display "Your Mobile Device is connected" if your blue-tooth prompts you for a passcode during pairing, please enter "0000". Once paired, from your iPad you will select your preferred music. When playing karaoke formatted songs, the lyrics will scroll from your iPad screen.
