• Yes you do still need to use the magnet antennas with this accessory.,.,this accessory helps transmit the signal from your Sirius/XM Radio to your FM Tuner...The magnet antenna is what allows you to receive the Satellite Radio signal from the Satellite!

• Yes, I believe so. The magnetic antenna came with the car kit, and the Best Buy installation tech installed it with a strong double sided tape that he said would not damage the car paint finish, but would hold up to weather, car washes, etc. so far it is working out awesome.
