“I had a 2018 Mazda CX-5 that had a AUX port. My Sirius XM Onyx car kit had no problems and worked well. I now have a 2021 CX5 touring with Bose and there is no AUX connection. Is this the best way to connect my XM car kit to my entertainment system?”

I had to wire one for my dads 2019 f150 and it too doesn’t have an aux port. I actually needed several other adapters to make it run through a low grade FM channel. Basically the truck is aluminum and magnet won’t stick to the top of the truck, nor did it have a preinstalled one, so I had to mount it on the dash. With the 12v adapter for the back of the radio I was able to make it with hidden wires and have the XM antenna not be an eyesore. Here are the adapters I bought at Best Buy, in case you run into the same issue. Metra antenna cable adapter Peripheral 12V DC adapter Sirius fm direct adapter Metra factory radio universal antenna Hopefully this helps you with installation and hiding the wires.
