Can this be set in the kitchen? null

The satellite Sirus/XM unit must be near the audio receiver due to the component cables requiring connection for the audio out signal to the speakers. If you have a audio receiver in the kitchen within range of the satellite unit to connect to then maybe it would work. The biggest problem is with the antenna placement and the unit requiring a fair strong signal for reception.
