“Do I need the vehicle kit to use the FM modulator at home? I would like to purchase the home kit version (for the remote and the simple home dock) but I don't want to plug the radio into any speakers or stereo auxiliary. Instead, I would like to use the FM modulator and then tune into the frequency on my stereo system. However, everywhere I read says that the FM modulator is only on the vehicle-kit version. Isn't it the same exact radio in either kit version? And if so, wouldn't all the radios have an FM modulator regardless of the home or vehicle kit options?”
