Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, not really. The steering wheel controls will continue to work the same way they did before but will not have any additional capabilities. The FMDA25 adapter gets installed on the back of your vehicle stereo in series with you vehicle FM antenna. The FMDA25 is a two way switch that takes the FM from our SiriusXM radios and routes it to your vehicle stereo when the SXM radio is turned on. when you turn off the SXM Radio the FMDA25 automatically reconnects the vehicle's FM/AM antenna and thereby restores normal AM/FM reception on your radio. When your SXM radio is on with the FMDA25 the AM/FM antenna is electrically disconnected so FM interference is completely eliminated. But the FMDA25 doesn't add any other functionality so it won't change your steering wheel controls.
