Q: QuestionDoes this radio ( or any radio) have a headphone jack or Aux Out? Id like to use airbuds or headphones to listen to XM news/music on a bass boat (to not bother other fisherman:) It Does Not need to Bluetooth out just a headphone jack would work.

• A:Answer It does have an audio 3.5mm out, it is located on the accessory adapter plug, not on the radio itself. The unit connects via usb to the plug as does the antenna. Hope this helps

Q: QuestionDoes the Roady have direct channel input? it would be quite a slog from a low number to 150 or whatever. And using the categories is many times not helpful at all when all you want is a specific channel.

• A:Answer yes is does. The direct access tune button is the lower right hand corner key "#" in the navigation keys. Press and hold down the "#" key for a second or two and you will enter the direct tune feature where you can enter any valid channel supported by your subscription tier.

Q: QuestionI have an old Stratus 7 receiver, a home dock and a car dock. Is this RoadyBT compatible with both docks? Or do I need to buy new and home docking kits along with the new receiver? Thank you.

• A:Answer No, the SiriusXM Roady BT does not use any dock and is not compatible with the home and car docks that the old Stratus 7 used nor any new home or car docks. The stratus 7 is a low band Sirius radio which uses a different version of the home and car docks which won't fit modern SiriusXM/XM docks. The XM and SiriusXM radios that are being sold at retail now use a different physical and electrical interface that won't fit the Sirius Stratus 7. However, Interoperable Home kits SXDH3 and SXDH4 and interoperable Car kits SXDV3 are available with Sirius adapters that can accommodate the physical and electrical differences between Status 7 and installing the XM/SXM adapter can accommodate the legacy XM and newer SiriusXM satellite radios.

You can add this Satellite radio your your existing SiriusXM account or you can swap this radio in place of another Satellite radio that is already on your account. Q: QuestionDo I need a radio in my car already or will this act as a radio itself? I know ill need the fm thing to add on but do I need a radio for this device to work or can I just use my siriusxm and Bluetooth on it?

• A:Answer The Roady BT comes with everything you need to receive Satellite Radio. But you will need a car radio or at least amplified Bluetooth Speakers in your RV, car, boat or other vehicle to actually hear the audio. The Roady BT includes built in Bluetooth to connect to your car radio and it also includes an Auxiliary line audio output that can connect to your car radio's aux input port via the included 1/8in stereo cable. Additionally, the Roady BT includes a built in FM modulator that requires the optional FM Direct Adapter Model # FMDA25 to connect to your vehicle's FM radio.

• A:Answer Yes and no. There are 4 ways to listen to SiriusXM at home with the Roady BT Sat Radio. Live stream via the internet app (which you can get when you are subscribed to SiriusXM plan and is the easiest). If you insist on using the Roady BT directly you will need an AC/DC converter with a cigarette lighter plug in order to power the Roady. Once you have the Roady plugged into the inverter you can then use the outlets available to connect up to your stereo. Be forewarned you may need additional cables and/or connectivity gadgets to do so. An example would be that if you wanted to connect via Bluetooth you may need an adapter that plugs into your stereo for reception if it is no already capable. You may need to get the FM adaptor kit from SiriusXM? You may need to get a 3.5mm cable and headphone jack adapter cable? It all depends on your present set-up? This is why I would urge livestream via the APP. I hope this helps.

• A:Answer If your vehicle originally had a Satellite radio then your vehicle would have a Satellite antenna which you could connect to the Roady BT instead of using the NGVA3 Satellite antenna that comes with the Roady BT. However, the NGVA3 antenna has much better interference protection and therefore will provide better reception compared to the original equipment antennas included in many older vehicles. I wouldn't recommend you use your old Satellite antenna but you can try it and drive around your routine commutes and other routes you frequent and see if the performance is acceptable. If you find you are having a lot of mutes that do NOT correlate with trees, buildings or mountains that are blocking the view to the south which will cause mutes that are unavoidable, then you should switch to the NGVA3 and compare the reception. The NGVA3 can be challenging to dress the antenna cable to get a clean installation so I can see why you might want to use the factory Satellite antenna so it may be worth a try.

Q: QuestionDo you have to program this thing to a FM radio station

• A:Answer Yes, you must set the FM Frequency on your Roady BT Radio to the same Frequency you have tuned on your Car Stereo's FM radio. You do this in the FM settings menu. But first you have to access the Audio menu to set audio output to FM (from Aux or Bluetooth). Note: To use the FM option on the Roady BT requires the FM Direct Adapter model FMDA25 (not included) . The FMDA25 connects in line with your vehicle's FM antenna and automatically disconnects the external vehicle antenna when you turn on your Roady BT and routes the FM signal from Roady BT to the car stereo.
