A: This does not replace the antenna. What is does is cuts your normal radio antenna signal off when it senses the xm is on, best way I can explain it. So now instead of trying to find an unused channel to listen to xm, I have my xm set to an actual station and as soon as I turn my xm on, station is gone and crystal clear xm
A: Yes just make sure you get both incoming and outgoing adapters. Mine works great
Q: Will it work on any car stereo or just XM?
A: As long as you have a cigarette lighter plug in, you will be able to auto tune it to one of the 3 radio channel options.

Night And Day
Without this adapter cable, XM frequently dropped out, had lots of static, and required me to change frequencies frequently. Since I installed this adapter, XM sounds like a brand new service. This should be included with EVERY XM tuner indended for vehicle usage.

Excellent product with multiple vehicle options
I wanted to add SiriusXM to my Indian Chieftain motorcycle, but didn't want to incur the expense of using my phone's data plan and burning through data on multiple week rides. This product allowed me to add SiriusXm and wire it directly into the motorcycle's radio system and broadcast it through the mc's speaker system. After 2 years it been problem free and one of my most rewarding mc additions. One of the key assets is that once its installed you can easily switch out SiriusXM radios.
