    Asked by SpecialK59.

    • Answer Yes, the Roady BT is compatible with most headunits that support Bluetooth. It can also connect via 3.5mm Auxiliary Input or via FM as backup connection options. The Roady BT requires connection to its own Satellite Antenna which must be mounted on the outside of your vehicle ideally on the highest roof of your vehicle. The Roady BT does not support CarPlay.

    Asked by Jon.

    • Answer The Roady BT is not designed to connect to headphones nor to earbuds and the Roady BT does not have a volume control. The Roady BT does have a line level adjustment but this is intended to match output to other Bluetooth sources and is not practical for use as a volume control.

  • QuestionCan I use my existing.gps antenna. With an adapter cable?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer No. You should not use a GPS antenna for your SiriusXM satellite radio. The SiriusXM antenna is specially designed to be powered by the satellite radio and optimized to provide the best reception. Other antennas might draw too much power from the satellite radio cause damage to the radio and may result in poor reception.

  • QuestionCan this work by itself. I need a radio at work. I have wall outlets but no WiFi or Bluetooth. I just need a radio hooked up to a Bose speaker

    Asked by Joewink.

    • Answer The Roady BT is designed to only be used in a vehicle. We have other Satellite radios such as the Onyx EZR model # SXEZR1H1 that are suitable for use indoors. But it is important to keep in mind that all satellite radios have satellite antennas which need to have a clear view of the southern sky. Many windows and especially work windows have metalized coatings or metal bug screens that will completely block the satellite signal so these antennas work best when placed outdoors. Radios such as the Onyx EZR with home kit do not need WiFi nor Bluetooth and will work fine with just an AC outlet and access to the outside for the antenna.

  • QuestionWill this work in a 2007 car that doesn't have Bluetooth

    Asked by Oldchrysler.

    • Answer Yes, the Roady BT supports two other connection methods for connecting to your vehicle's radio. Besides Bluetooth, Roady BT also supports Auxiliary audio output and also has a builtin FM modulator. So if your vehicle has 1/8in stereo Aux input then use the included stereo Auxilliary cable to connect your Roady BT to your vehicle's radio. Otherwise, you can use Roady BT's built in FM modulator along with the optional (not included) FM Direct Adapter Model # FMDA25 to connect your Roady BT over full FM stereo and with the FM Direct Adapter your connection will be static free with no need to change FM channels as you drive between cities.
