Can I use this in my car and in my house? null

Yes, I use this on my porch. But I have also used it in my kitchen as well. I know it needs a satellite signal, but in my kitchen it sat on the bar it picked up just fine without running the antenna outside.

It is portable. You can take it anywhere. Besides plugging it into an outlet at home, you can install batteries and take it anywhere. It is just a matter of putting the antenna in a spot that you can get good reception.

Yes. A stationary position with the antenna pointing south is best. The antenna position is key whether the dock is moving or not.
