“My wife recently purchased a 2018 Accord Sport. Her head unit has the Sirius app but its not installed by the manufacturer. Supposedly the app only works on the Tour edition. So does she need this to make the app operate?”

Yes, if it has a plugin for the xm unit. you can call xm at their 800 number and give them the radio info and they will tell you the part number of the adapter you need. Go back to Best Buy and pick it up, Best Buy has the best price.

Please try again later.Not necessarily. 1st try installing the Sirius Xm app on her phone (need to set up an account or at least a 30 day free trial) then see if the app will link through her phone.. if not then you would need a separate Sirius XM tuner (& possibly an interface that will link it to the oem honda radio)
