• I believe they will last a good long time if properly cared for. Like most things living or not, they won't feel very good if you impose stress on them.

• We owned two sets and they lasted 6 years. When we bought a new TV, those sets were too hard to connect. Now, our new Sony headsets work great! They'll last; I'm sure.
