Live in a condo style townhouse and was able to make it down into the garage before having any issues with music distortion, approx 4 flights of stairs, a hall, and garage door from the main level kitchen. (almost center of the home) If this helps. Note, this will vary by phone location and interiors of the home, age of home, additional wireless devices in-use.

I found that I could easily go to over 30 ft when connected to my IPAD but my at that same distance I would get drop outs when connected to my Samsung phone. The things to consider are the environment - thickness of walls and floors as well as other electronics that may be supplying interference.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on your surroundings and how large your area/house/apartment/whatever is. But I’d say about a good 30-35 feet before your start having some connection issues.

Devices can also communicate over distances of up to 800 feet (or 240 meters), which is four times the 200 feet (or 60 meters) allowed by Bluetooth 4.2. However, walls and other obstacles will weaken the signal, as they do with Wi-Fi. So a number of factors come into play as to how far and how fast they work, but I roam freely in my three bedroom house with no issues so far when paired with my iPhone X.
