“Is it common for the left bud to have charging issues? I’ll put them both into the charging case but I have to get the left one just right or else it won’t charge. Or if it gets bumped it’ll disconnect from the case, turn on and reconnect to my phone.”

That is strange. It sounds like the pins in the case are not connecting with the receiver on the bud its self while in the case. We wouldn't say that is very common but it has been known to happen. You can always hit up our customer service team and we will warranty them for you no problem.
