From what I know its the same as all skullcandy earphones Same Mic..and you kinda but not really hear static
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have asked people many times when I am using mine and they say it sounds clearer and better then when I am talking into the phone directly. They do not pick up any more background noise than your phone normally would...as a matter of fact in my experience they help reduce some of that noise.

SO IF UNFORTUNATELY YOU HAVE AN APPLE PRODUCT, AND IT HAS SOME KIND OF WEIRD ISSUE WITH CONNECTION...KEEP THE SMOKIN' BUDS AND TRADE THE APPLE IN ON AN ANDROID.

Please try again later.So far I have only tried it on my phone and laptop, but from what I can tell, anything that has a bluetooth connection, which allows you to connect to manually, you will be able to connect to. Over phone, I have not tested, as I don't usually talk on the phone when using them. When I have them on, I can not hear anything in the background, unless you have them really low, but I don't listen with them low, otherwise whats the point?
