A:Answerno you don't have to buy warranty from Geeksquad if you don't want to, if it arrives damaged you should be able to either try and exchange with best buy or contact best buy to send you a new one if you had it delivered to you address. My power button wasn't working so I returned it in store and had them order me a replacement
