I believe sling tv...uses roku or chromecast to cast onto ur tv...the research I've done this is 9.99 or so a month...but with the sling box u don't pay each month...the apps that I downloaded from the setup are free with the hardware.. I used the slingbox cast onto my tv though chromecast and the android app on my phone. I have a smart tv..but had to use the chromcast.com or mirroring option..there seems to be a problem with age of my. tv...in theory I think it should work if you can download the sling box app onto your smart tv. great pur base. ..especially snowbirds travelling who would like to keep up with your own news and weather or shows from home.

It makes sense because Samsung is trying to sell you applications they can make money off. Samsung also sells ads to their smart TVs. It is all about the mighty $$$$. I would not hold your breath. I also own an LG and I do not see SLING Box available on that brand either. Sorry.
