• The original independent program doesn't work with Windows 10. You do have an option to download an app from slingbox.com to play Slingbox on a laptop/desktop thru a browser.

• I can't speak to the updates, as I've only owned the device for a week. I can confirm that Slingbox works with Windows 10. I've been using Slingplayer on Windows 10 without issue.
