We did not need it it. A kit came with the dryer.

If you go to the product page, under Specifications, there is a category called Water Source. The older models will say Reservoir, the newer models will say Fill Hose. This kit comes with the Y-shaped mixer hose and the fill hose that connects to the dryer.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, as it shouldn’t make a difference rather it’s gas or electric. A water line still has to go to dryer for the steam feature to work. All this hose kit does is give you an extra water line that goes to the dryer instead of just the washer.
