• Green cable mostly used for ground line.

• The colors match up with the same colors on back of the appliances. At the bottom of your appliance you should see a green screw. It’s just below the other wires you connected.

• The green cable has it place as the other wires have its place. You should look for any place that has the color green. The wires are color coded and I have a new electric range that is three prong power supply (plug) but the outlet is for four prong plugs ,had to switch it. There are Four colors red,white, black and green. Green is the ground wire. A Youtube video helped me alot with location and step-by-step placement.
