Q: QuestionHi we currently have a three prong chord on current Oven I am having this assembled and installed by Best Buy and they added cords would I need anything else or would this oven not be compatible
Asked by Tam.
- A:Answer You can use a three prong cord but it won’t be grounded. Just be sure the wires to the outlet are in good condition, that it’s a 40 amp circuit and the breaker is in good shape. An electrician can help with that. You can use the four prong cord, but would need a new outlet and it will have to be grounded. Again, an electrician can do that. They should have had both cords on the truck and put on the one you wanted. If they didn’t call Best Buy, they did you wrong.

Q: QuestionCan I run a 220v wire from a breaker to a dryer
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer You can, but be sure it’s rated for 220 and for the right amperage. Most dryers need a 40 amp circuit, some need 50. Be sure the breaker is the right amperage as well. If you don’t have the manual to check what your dryer needs, go on YouTube and find a video. You should also use wire that doesn’t need to be in a conduit, just ask at the store if it’s safe to run it outside a conduit. (Obviously if it going into a conduit it won’t matter.)
