The hole needs to be at least 1" diameter to get the fitting through. 1 1/4 or 1 1/12 would be better. I didn't use Best Buy's service for the installation. If you have a drill and a 1/1/4" drill bit, you can make the hole yourself. Hooking up the line is not hard - especially if you find You-Tube videos. They help a lot.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used a 1/2" bit to made the hole. it was just right but I widen it up a bit more with the 1/2" so it easier to push through. You can always use silicon to cover around the hole. Best Buy does the cuts but they will need your permission as long as they have easy access to the rear of the cabinets.
