• A:Answer On the dryer side you do to put the flare fitting on. On any flare fitting no you shouldn't use Teflon tape.

• A:Answer I read in my LG Dryer installation manual that US safety regulations require a shut off to the gas line be placed within 6 feet of the dryer. This would probably mandate gas lines shorter than 6 feet.

• A:Answer Yes if your gas valve is a different size you will need to replace it to fit this gas hose. I switched my gas valve from a 5/8 to a 1/2 FIP x 1/2 FIP.

• A:Answer It depends on how much BTU your appliances use. Double check your BTU usage and compare it to the gas hose you currently have, it should have a yellow tag attached to your hose showing you how much BTU it supports.
