Can the ear bugs be used in steam rooms null

I'd suggest only waterproof ones, try Jabra Sport Elite.

I think they would be fine. I use mine to run and do Crossfit workouts in south Mississippi. Temps run in the high 90's/low 100's and humidity is so thick you could cut it with a dull knife. I'm literally soaked by doing any workout, and these have held up just fine.
