Does the cord retracts in and out of the main unit null

The cord does not retract in or out, it is a fixed position. I was worried about that as well. The cord is plenty long. I am 6'5" and have a long neck and it is not a problem for me at all. Absolutely great ear buds.

No, it does not. The cord hangs out of the main unit, but is not obtrusive or anything like that.

No. They hang loosely, but as a result Sol Republic was able to make the neckband extremely lightweight and flexible. I honestly prefer them not being retractable.

No, the buds will just dangle from thier cords.

No, it is fixed and for me does not present a problem during use or when I am just recharging them.

No. It comes with a small wire extension to make it longer. But I have not had to use it.
