“We have the Arlo system around our house(and love it) but we have one outside area that we would like to monitor that is 200 feet from the base station. Can an additional camera with the solar charger work and can it reach the base station? Thoughts?”

Depends on how strong your wifi signal is. Use one of your existing cameras and go to device utilities/camera positioning for this camera to check band width at the desired placement location.
