• It may not be plugged in all the way.. I noticed on mine, once inserted, it needed a little extra push to lightly snap into place. Or the wire/cord is running next to another wire/cord and picking up interference. It is possible it is defective. But, I've always had good luck with my ring devices, never had a bad one outta the box. (knocks on wood)
