Q: QuestionHello I just purchased one and I’m curious do I put water into it or no.

• A:Answer No you don't put water into it. This machine takes water out of the air so your room/rooms are not so damp. The bucket fills up with the water from the air and you must dump out water daily unless you have a hose hooked up to it so the water drains out automatically.

Q: QuestionCan you hook a hose up to this dehumidifier and allow it to drain that way instead of manually emptying the bucket? I have a Frigidaire that allows that but don't see anything mentioned about hooking up a drainage hose on this one.

• A:Answer If you have this version - it is in the back. If you have an earlier version, it is inside -- pull bucket out and there is a slim filter in the front of the unit (above bucket area).
