    • Answer I don't have another sonos speaker to accurately say, but if the Sonos Ray or Move can somehow connect to the amp via wifi then yes.

  • QuestionIf using 14/4 wire for the 6.1 system, what do you do with the extra 2 bare wire connections to the last speaker? Just cap them off and bury them?

    • Answer Yup. they actually have two extra wire nuts with silicon in the bag for this purpose. So just cap them and bury. Too easy

  • QuestionDo you need 1 amp per zone (kitchen, backyard, etc…)? Or do you need one amp per zone to control each zone independently?

This will give you the flexibility to group all zones together and play the same content across all zones, or operate them independently with different volume levels and different content in each zone/room.   • QuestionI bought the 6.1 system with the Sonos Amp as this was the best price. I’d only like to use 4 speakers as this is ideal for my smaller backyard. Would this be ok? Or will it mess up the system?

  • Question1. Will the 6.1 system allow me to stream music from the iTunes library on my laptop via the internet? 2. Can I mount the amplifier in a weatherproof enclosure in South Florida (will hot weather and humidity negatively impact the amplifier?)

  • QuestionI would like to do an outdoor TV with a Sonos Soundbar in my pavilion. Can the soundbar be hooked up/paired to this speaker system so that the TV will play through all the speakers instead of just the soundbar?

If you need more coverage for a larger outdoor space, we recommend adding a second MAG6.1 system. For larger properties or applications that require even greater coverage and output, Sonance also offers the Sonance Garden Series system, designed for expanded outdoor areas and can support more speakers and larger subwoofers.
