    • Answer I don't have another sonos speaker to accurately say, but if the Sonos Ray or Move can somehow connect to the amp via wifi then yes.

  • QuestionIf using 14/4 wire for the 6.1 system, what do you do with the extra 2 bare wire connections to the last speaker? Just cap them off and bury them?

    • Answer Yup. they actually have two extra wire nuts with silicon in the bag for this purpose. So just cap them and bury. Too easy

  • QuestionDo you need 1 amp per zone (kitchen, backyard, etc…)? Or do you need one amp per zone to control each zone independently?

This will give you the flexibility to group all zones together and play the same content across all zones, or operate them independently with different volume levels and different content in each zone/room.   • QuestionI bought the 6.1 system with the Sonos Amp as this was the best price. I’d only like to use 4 speakers as this is ideal for my smaller backyard. Would this be ok? Or will it mess up the system?

The included six satellite speakers and subwoofer are the maximum configuration for the included Sonos Amp; adding additional speakers will exceed its impedance limits and cause performance issues or damage to the amplifier. For most installations, we recommend 14/4 direct-burial speaker wire, which can be run between the amplifier, speakers, and subwoofer. Music is streamed wirelessly to the Sonos Amp through your home Wi-Fi network, but the outdoor speakers themselves require wired connections. Yes, the MAG6.1 satellite speakers can be mounted to a wall or another solid surface using the optional Sonance Round Surface Mount (Best Buy SKU #6425820) or the Tree and Surface Mount (Best Buy SKU #6473683). Installation instructions are included with the mounting accessories. Please note that the MAG6.1 satellites do not have an adjustable knuckle, so they cannot be pivoted after mounting. Depending on the mounting location, they may not point in the direction needed for the best sound coverage. For an installation that requires greater aiming flexibility, consider the complete Sonance Garden Series 8.1 system with DSP 2-150 MKIII amplifier (Best Buy SKU #6583411). Its satellite speakers feature adjustable knuckles that allow them to pivot and be pointed in any direction.   • Questionif i have all cement can i put the subwoofer in a planter

Yes, if the area where you want to place the subwoofer is concrete, it can be installed in a planter as long as there is adequate drainage and the planter is filled with soil or similar landscaping material. The subwoofer is designed to be partially buried, leaving approximately 5 inches between the bottom of the canopy and the soil line, making a planter a great alternative when in-ground installation is not possible.
