A: Unfortunately, I would not use these speakers with your Sonos Amp. The amp outputs at 8 ohms, and these speakers are rated at 6 ohms resistance. That low resistance will cause a higher power draw than the amp is rated for and it will either over heat or shut down due to thermal overload. In general, you want to get a speaker with either the same (ideal) or slightly higher ohm rating to save your amp. Hope that helps.

Decent sound & easy to install. Good value.
Not the greatest sound, but you get what you pay for! I use it for background music on my patio. Sounds a lot better than the small, portable radio I used to listen to out there. Fits nicely under the overhang & easy to install. I have to be careful not to “crank it up” too much because my amplifier puts out more than the speakers can handle! But for my purposes - music you can play while still having a conversation - it word well. Anything “better” was over twice the cost.

More than enough.
Love them. Crisp sound with little distortion. Good response range. Simple 2 wire connection. Been in my covered patio without a speaker cover. They have gotten wet and still perform great. They are not in direct sunlight and i only use a wet rag to wipe of dust and dirt but not necessary. My neighbors say they can hear the sound 4 houses down clearly at full volume. (Only did that to test them cause I have great neighbors)

great speakers for the price
These speakers sound great for the price. I replaced a set of Dual outdoor speakers that lasted 9 years so I hope these Yamaha speakers last as long. For best results install the speakers under your deck so that the sound is not blasting into your ears. Much easier to hear your guests talking when the sound is underneath you and it helps to improve the bass. The picture I am attaching to this review shows where I installed my speakers under my deck. This also helps to protect the speakers from the weather.
