  • QuestionWhat gauge wire is recommended for the install

    • Answer Hi, Thank you for your question regarding the Sonance MAG6R 6-1/2" In-Ceiling Speakers. For most residential installations, we recommend using 16-gauge speaker wire. This gauge provides excellent performance for typical wire runs up to approximately 50 feet. If your installation requires longer cable runs, we suggest 14-gauge wire for reduced signal loss. Additionally, please ensure that the wire used is rated for in-wall or in-ceiling applications. I hope this information is helpful.     • Answer You have to run tv out to an amp and then the speakers from the amp. The speakers are not self powered.

    • Answer None. These are residential speakers. If you have wires running more than 100 feet just use 12/2 speaker wire. They do not require a power tap.

  • QuestionHow do these work with commercial ceiling tiles? Is there any special brackets in need for this kind of install?

    • Answer Hi, Thank you for your question. We recommend using tile support rails with a c-bracket when installing these speakers in drop ceilings.   • QuestionReceived the set and was trying to adjust its woofers angle. How much pressure should be applied to pivot them in the housing? Twitters moved fine but woofers won’t budge and I’m afraid to break tweeters support brackets. Any tricks how this is done? Thx!

    • Answer Hi, Thank you for your question. We recommend you press on the very outer part of the speaker driver just past the rubber surround. You can also pivot the speaker from the backside by pressing on the side of the speaker magnet. If you are unsure of where to press, please give us a call at 949-492-7777 and ask for Tech Support.     • Answer These are not bluetooth or wireless speakers. They are to be wired to an external A/V receiver or amplifier. I am very satisfied with their performance and the quality of installation performed by Best Buy Geek Squad.
