Hi, Thank you for your question. These speakers are designed to withstand temperatures from -13° to 149°F. You can cover them if you would like; however, it's unnecessary. You can use them during the winter months when the outside temperature is above freezing (40°F or higher.) Finally, I would recommend bringing the speakers inside before the temperature reaches or drops below -13°. If they do reach freezing temperatures, allow the speakers time to defrost thoroughly before using them. Damage can occur if the speaker is frozen and you attempt to play them.
