I believe you can do either, but I would run outdoor speakers in the mono setting. Full sound out of each speaker. Unless it’s a smaller area.

Yes, you can absolutely run a single 14/4 wire from inside your home to the outside and then split it to feed both speakers. This is actually a very common and clean installation method. Just make sure to use direct burial–rated or outdoor-rated wire to ensure long-term durability. I hope you found this information helpful.
