“I am installing the Sonance MAG6R in a ceiling with blown in insulation. Do these enclosures protect them from the insulation material? Do these enclosures affect the sound quality? Thanks”

Since you do have insulation i would recommend using the enclosure. Yes they protect the speaker. Its a very tight fit also. As far as sound changes go, yes....there is a change in sound and i believe for the better. It tightens up the sound and directs it down better. I dont have the insulation but they also protect the speaker from attic dust. I highly recommend using them
