Hi, Thanks for your question. The Sonance MX62 outdoor speakers are passive speakers, so they cannot be connected directly to an outdoor TV by themselves. You will need an external amplifier or AV receiver between the TV and the speakers to properly power them and get sound. A typical setup would be: TV audio output → amplifier or receiver → MX62 speakers I hope you found this information helpful.
