Hi Don! Thanks for taking the time to write to us with your question. Our recommended wire size would depend on the distance between the amplifier/receiver and the speakers. We recommend the following: 18 Gauge - Up to 100 feet in distance 16 Gauge - Up o 150 feet in distance 14 Gauge - Up to 250 feet in distance You also want to use a wire that is designed to be buried "direct burial wire."
