“Can these be used as a surround sound speaker in a 7.1 system. I am looking at getting the sonance mag5.1 and adding these two speakers to be on left wall and right wall. If not these what Sonos speakers should I add to take the 5.1 to a 7.1?”

That's what I did. As long as you don't mind different shaped speakers, they sound great!
