“I have two in ceiling wired speakers on either side of my TV. Will the Sonos Arc be compatible with those through my AV receiver or will there be competition and/or timing issues between the two audio channels?”

Don't know the answer to this one. Your best bet is either to call Best Buy and asked or Sonos.

The Sonos Arc would take the place of any other front speakers you have, and would leave no need for the receiver. If you'd like to use those speakers as part of a Sonos surround system, we would recommend the Sonos AMP, and getting rid of the receiver.
