“My older sonos sound bar connected to my TV with a digital cable. The specs listed on bestbuy show no hdmi in or digital in ports on the sound bar, which makes no sense to me. So how do you get your TV audio to play through your sonos soundbar / system?”

There is an HDMI input which you would connect to the HDMI-ARC port on your TV. Here's some information you can refer to which I found online: How do I connect Sonos beam to my TV?
