• Boost actually saves core router bandwidth by handeling the traffic locally.

• I ran my sonos system of two play ones for a year without the Boost and never had a problem. I have 8 speakers now and decided to get and set up the boost. i am told that you can go up to 30 sonos speakers before you would need the boost. I will say that the Boost is great for working with VPN's. They say that it does help with bandwidth,

• I use the Boost and it seems like it doesn't affect my bandwidth. It's worth the extra $99.
