I have a Sirius XM account and simply use the Sonos Sirius XM app to play SiriusXM throughout my home. I love it! Sonos can either use your existing home wireless or set up its own Sonos-Net. you pick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes the Sonos Connect and any other Sonos device (Sonos Play 1, 2, or 3) connected to your home network can simultaenously play the same audio content.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not exactly. The Sonos Connect and the speakers would all use your Wi-Fi network to "talk" to each other. The Connect would then send the audio signals directly to the speakers via the Wi-Fi network.

Those places are where your music lives, and therefore are where the music streams from. If you have multiple Sonos devices, only one needs to attach to your router - they automatically setup their own network to stream music between themselves (ie they do not use your regular network). So if your Connect is the device attached to your router, it will read the music from your library (or from a supported streaming service like Spotify or Pandora) and output it to your stereo system. I don't know if XM has a supported streaming service. The Connect does have an analog input, so you could stream an arbitrary source (e.g. an XM radio with an analog output) to all your Sonos devices. If that's the feature that is useful, note that the Play 5 also has an analog input.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't even think you would need the Connect -- ask an expert at Best Buy. I only have the connect because I wanted to include a 5 cd player. Otherwise there is a LOT of streaming radio content available for free through the Sonos App which is free -- all you have to buy is the speakers. I'm thrilled because I can play music from the iphone in one room, cd's in another and Pandora, I Heart Radio or many live radio stations in another -- ALL at the same time -- it's a miracle!!! : )
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Maybe. If you want to connect directly to some existing wired speakers or you want to route the sound from Sonos into an existing Stereo system you should buy the Connect. For what you describe, save money and buy the Boost, connect it to your router and buy a bunch of Speakers from Sonos for everywhere you want sound they all connect wirelessly to the Boost and that is the optimum way to set it up. Your Sonos system or Application (accessed by iPad or Phone or Computer) can be set with your XM or Sirius credentials and XM will then come through the Boost and out your Sonos Speakers. Connect is only for capturing the signal from the Sonos Application and sending to your existing hardwired stereo speakers (either through a Receiver or Amp or directly to self powered but wired speakers).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can access Sirius XM (and countless other services) through the Sonos app. When you begin new Sonos system setup, just connect the Sonos app to the same WiFi address as your Uverse router. It's quite simple!
