The Sonos app allows you to send signal to each room group. I haven't tried playing different music streams in different rooms. Songs says it can be done.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yea but you have to be on the same wifi network. so i guess dont go to a friends house and expect to stream music from your house. your speakers will work on his network but the sonos system is a local system.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Each room can be set up to work in sync or separately. Can have surround sound in one room and play cd's in another.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes by connecting a free output port (optical, coax, or L/R out) to another device in the second room. I suggest running coax or optical cable to the 2nd room for better signal quality.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe this would be dictated by your receiver. The Sonos Connect will connect to your existing receiver and if that receiver is capable of serving multiple zones then yes it is capable. The key is that those other zones must have their speakers running to that same receiver.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have more than one Sonos (i.e. you have one in each room) you just use the Sonos app to "group" rooms together and they will all play the same thing at the same time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This device is used for feeding music from the sonos system to input jacks on a component such as an amp or receiver. If you are looking for a self=powered speaker that works well on the sonos system, you may want to consider a Play1, Play3, etc. Regardless, all sonos devices are accessed/controlled from the sonos controller app (ios, android, pc, etc.) running on a device that is connected to the same WiFi network so you don't have to be in the same room, just on the same WiFi network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In my home, I had 4 rooms prewired with speakers (8 speakers total). I already had a speaker selector. If you run speaker wire from the Connect AMP to the speaker selector and then hook all of the speakers into the speaker selector then you're in business. Works perfectly for me. You can just use the speaker selector to turn on the speakers in whatever room you wish to listen in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Using the Sonos App, you can split the individual speakers into different rooms and give them titles. We use four Sonos 1s and place each in a different room. They all play the same music, but we can change the volume by room. We can also change what is playing by room. Connect acts just like a speaker it can be assigned a room.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
